For about a month or so, I've been having dizzy spells. I went to the doctor and they figured that I had a vertigo virus. They prescribed some meds and here I am. Still dizzy. It's really starting to get me down. The pills don't help. I've gone back to the doctor and was told that I just have to give it some time. Wow. What a big help. I can't even tolerate sitting and knitting for very long. If anyone out there reads this and has some ideas for me, I would sure appreciate it!
On another note, I started knitting a sleeve for my Kindle Fire I received for Yule/Christmas. I chose the Kindle Death pattern off of Ravelry.com (type in Kindle in the pattern search and it will pop up). I'm using Knitpicks Swish DK in a heather grey and a pink color. I can't remember the exact color names at the moment, but they really look nice together! The pattern is very vague, so I had to start it over several times. I finally got the hang of it and am loving my first attempt at Fair Isle. I just wish I could sit and knit on it for longer periods of time. I've also been trying to keep up with the Monthly dishcloth KAL. I've finished both of January's cloths and am looking forward to starting February's. I hope we get to use pink!! :)

Just can't seem to get the hang of it
Another year has gone by and no posting on my blog. Am I really that boring? Most likely! So much has happened in 2011. The first thing that I accomplished in 2011 was to move out of my husband's home into my own. It was such a HUGE step for me. It was scary and exciting all mixed together. So if I had my own home, that means I had my own rent to pay along with many other numerous bills. I needed a job. I applied for many jobs, but the one that called me for an interview had to do with my psychology degree. This was the one for me!! I got the job and was dumped into teaching parenting classes to people that had either lost their children, or were in danger of having them taken away by CPS. I also had to do supervised visits, and drug testing for my new clients. Barely any training and tons of paperwork. Of course, no one does their paperwork like anyone else, so no matter what I did, it was wrong. (It still is, actually! Hee hee!)
I must say that I really don't like my job. It's so very stressful and upsetting. I get little to no support and would really rather put the effort into my home and family rather than helping others with theirs.
On the knitting front, I didn't finish a single thing in 2011. Unless you count a few dishcloths. I've been in my house for a year and still don't have my office/craft room unpacked yet. I'm so annoyed by this! I have projects that I would love to knit on again (or stitch) and can't find.
Speaking of things that I can't find...I was going to finish up my divorce papers this evening and go turn them in finally. No where to be found!! No, this is not a sign. This only means that I'm very forgetful and unorganized. Funny thing is, I put them in my work brief case so I wouldn't lose them. I must have taken them out and put them somewhere and can't remember what I did with them. Well, enough ramblings. Keep Calm and Carry Yarn!

Hopefully Back for good...
Well, here it is. 2011. I completely forgot that I had a blog. LOL! My poor, neglected little blog. So much has changed since my last post 2 years ago. I have finished school with a degree in psychology and a degree in archaeology. I have moved back to my hometown and separated from my husband. I have a very small job as a Family Support Worker. When I say small, I mean small. I get about 12 hours per week! I hope the hours grow because its hard to support myself and my two sons on 12 hours per week.
I have joined a challenge with my good friends this year. We're working on our unfinished projects that we've started over the years. These are typically called UFO's. So far this year, I've finished 2 pairs of socks. I believe they were both started in 2007! Well, they're finally finished and I've been wearing them. Maybe I'll post pictures soon.

Wow! It's been a while...
It has been a long time since I last posted on my blog. I've been through a lifetime it seems! LOL! Right now, I'm enjoying the first summer session at the University of Montana. I have two classes: ceramics for non-majors and child abnormal psychology. Trying to cram a whole semester's worth of knowledge into five weeks is difficult to say the least. I am enjoying my classes, though. The man that is teaching ceramics is hilarious! Today, he wore the old-style 3D glasses for the entire class time. I wonder if they gave him a headache? I have a test that I should be studying for, but am procrastinating magnificently!
Sam and Zack are taking swimming lessons at the U. They are really enjoying it! I just couldn't teach them to swim the proper way (imagine that!). I guess if I knew how to swim myself, then that would be a different story. I am considering taking beginning swimming lessons for adults, but I don't think I want to. Too embarrassing!
This is the last week of school for the boys. They will have to come to school with me, or stay home and play while I'm in class. Can you guess which option they'll choose? LOL!
I have been stitching when I get the chance. Not many chances! I have also been knitting on a dishcloth once in a while. I'll be sure to post pictures in a day or two. But for now, I think I'll take a crack at the books before I go to sleep.

Call her Sanchez...
Don't even ask what that's all about. You will regret it.
I got my scores back on two of my tests. The first one was for Social Psychology. I got a B! I was told that the professor was horrible for testing. I thought for sure I failed. LOL! The next exam was in Psychology of Personality and I didn't study much for that one because I put all of my effort into the first one. I got an A! Ta-da! I could've danced right there on the spot!
Poor Zackrie called me from school today with a bad earache. He said that he tried to tough it out, but just couldn't anymore. Poor baby! I rushed away from school and picked him up and brought him home. Then I went on an adventure trying to find a place that had a heating pad. Can you believe that a heating pad would be so hard to find? I went to three different places before I finally found one that was on clearance. I then braved rush hour traffic without experiencing any road rage and made it home with my prize! Zack was so relieved to see the heating pad. I made him lay on the couch and watch cartoons.
I managed to finish day one of the October Monthly Dishcloth pattern. I am very curious to know what this will turn out to be. I hope it's a witch!

Dishcloth Knitting
Wow! I just got my order of Peaches & Creme yarn for more cloths. I ordered the kits for the yahoo groups http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MonthlyDishcloths/ and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ClothOfTheWeek/ . I finished my Elvish Leaves dishcloth. That was so fun to stitch! My next cloth is going to be the October monthly one. I hope it has something to do with Halloween!
Steve came for the weekend. We had a good time. He bought me a brand new washer and dryer! I can't wait til it gets here. They are so fancy that I'll have to read the manuals so I know how to operate them! LOL! We went to dinner a couple of times, but that was about it. I dropped him off at the airport at 6:00 am. Very early! I'm so tired and the day hasnt' even begun yet. Luckily, I only have 2 classes today.

Studying vs. Stitching
Hmmm... which one shall I choose? LOL! I would really like to be stitching right now, but alas, I must study. I will be having a test in Psychological Statistics and in Physical Anthropology on Friday. They shouldn't be too bad. In statistics, we are learning how to find z-scores and correlations. I know, boring!
I have a few knit rows to put in on the elvish leaves dishcloth and then it will be finished. I really enjoyed knitting that one. The colors are very pretty. I will have to see how well my cell phone will take pictures so I can upload it.
